H&M’s COS uses CD for Store Openings

Spark Marketing Entertainment launched exclusive CD for COS Stores, part of the Hennes & Mauritz Group.

The compilation was sold exclusively through COS Stores in the UK, Germany, Denmark and Benelux. www.cosstores.com

COS is a fashion concept for men and women, initiated by Hennes & Mauritz. From the quality of their products to the unique William Russell design of the stores, whose pedigree involves designs for Alexander McQueen and Margaret Howell, COS design is for individualists. This was reflected in the first COS CD, exclusively created by Spark and designed to embody the core values of the brand.

The CD contained 18 of the best and coolest independent music tracks from around the world. The minimalist design and the packaging reflected COS’ instore design. Furthermore, the music could be heard in COS Stores, whose music programming is exclusively provided by Mood Media Ltd.

Spark Marketing Entertainment cleared all music and copyrights with the artists and labels, and delivered finished CDs to COS Stores.

Matthias Bauss, head of Spark’s London office and co-A&R of the compilation, says: “The CD plays incredibly well, and reflects the vibrant mood and the personality of the brand COS. Music and fashion are made for each other. Each song is as individual and refreshingly edgy as COS’ fashion concept itself.
