Chevrolet and Spark create a truly legendary CD promotion for the iconic brand
ZURICH - Since the birth of Rock'n' Roll, more than 600 songwriters have used the word "Chevrolet" to paint a picture in their lyrics. Through a single mention of "Chevy", "Corvette", "Camaro" - or just "Chevrolet" - musical artists have created lasting portraits of freedom and the open road. From 50s rockabilly to 70s power ballads, classic country to urban hip hop, Chevrolet has become a vital part of music and the changing culture reflected within it. To celebrate this, Chevrolet Europe has decided to commission a series of CDs, presenting the very best of music portraying this iconic brand.
On behalf of Chevrolet Europe, Spark Marketing Entertainment translated the vision into reality: "Chevrolet Legends Volume 1" features 16 songs by well-known artists.
A small miracle of logistics and timing was set in place by both companies to deliver over 500,000 luxuriously packaged CDs to Chevrolet offices around Europe and Asia within just 2 months' lead time.
A European-wide promotion, involving the distribution of nearly 50 million flyers across Europe, is giving one winner a chance to win 3 Chevrolet cars at once as well as a "Chevrolet Legends Vol. 1" CD.
Wayne Brannon, Executive Director Chevrolet Europe, was very pleased to receive an award for the shipment in excess of 500,000 units.
Patrizia Caruselli, co-founder and head of Spark's Switzerland office says: "Cars and music go well together, but it's a dream come true to do a music promotion for such an iconic brand as Chevrolet. The CD reflects how deep routed the brand has become in modern culture over the last 60 years."
