London / Zurich, July 2005 – Spark Marketing Entertainment opens U.S.A. office in Los Angeles.

Matthias Bauss, head of Spark’s London office and Patrizia Caruselli, head of Spark’s Zurich office proudly welcome Carla Perna to head up Spark’s representation in the U.S.A.

Carla Perna’s focus will be to build Spark’s synchronisation licensing business with major film studios and independent film production companies as well as brands and their agencies.

Patrizia Caruselli adds: “Synchronisation Licensing is one of Spark’s main business areas and with Carla on board our European and U.S. based clients can expect an even better and more comprehensive service.”

From 1987 to 2003 Carla worked for Warner Strategic Marketing (WSM) / Warner Special Projects (WSP) in Burbank, CA. From 1996 to 2003 she held the position of Vice President, Worldwide Licensing & Domestic Releases, and was responsible for the global licensing of one of the world’s largest music catalogues for a variety of uses in the U.S. and abroad. Repertoire included both new and old recordings from the vaults of Warner, Elektra, Atlantic, Nonesuch, Rhino and Maverick. Uses included company-released products (compilations, best-of albums, premiums, videos) plus the license-out/in of material to/from other major record companies and Warner International affiliates for similar products. Scope of business also included artist sampling, videogames, soundtracks, TV/Film/Commercial uses.

Prior to Warner Music, Carla's extensive industry experience included stints at Aaron Spelling Productions, The Gary Group, Brian Grazer Productions at Tristar, Scotti Bros. Moress & Nanas Artist Management, The Forum and various Los Angeles recording studios.
