Zurich, After the success of 'Chevrolet Legends Vol. 1' in Europe and Asia, Spark has researched, cleared, produced and distributed a second volume on behalf of Chevrolet Europe and its worldwide affiliates.
Spark won the pitch against other traditional music labels.
The Chevrolet Legends Vol. 2 CD is exclusive to the pan-European 'Chevrolet Dream Garage' promotion campaign and is not available in music stores. Everyone participating in the 'Chevrolet Dream Garage' campaign has not only the chance to win the 1st prize of three Chevrolet cars, but has also a fair chance to receive a copy of the limited edition of Chevrolet Legends Vol. 2.
Once again the CD concept is customized to Chevrolet: all the lyrics of the songs contain the key words Chevrolet, Chevy, Camaro or Corvette and have been carefully selected according to strong guidelines on repertoire, genre and content.
Additionally, this time Chevrolet Europe ran a newcomer artist talent contest on the independent site musicnation.com to offer new artists priceless exposure in Europe. Over the period of a month, newcomers were asked to compose a song with the key word "Chevrolet" in the lyrics and to post it on the website. The winner got the chance to be included in the CD alongside some of the music’s biggest names. From over 700 submissions, Jaymie Gerard and David Lane were chosen as winners.

It was indeed very hard to make a final decision on the winner. In the end, we had two songs, both of which we thought truly represent the spirit of Chevrolet. Finally, we decided that Jaymie Gerard wins the Chevrolet Song Contest with her song "Chevy in Drive," and we decided to feature the runner-up, "Down in Dixie" by David Lane, on the Chevrolet Legends CD as well."
