Spark Marketing Entertainment and Digiview Productions LLC have signed a cooperation agreement for the exploitation of Digiview’s extensive DVD catalogue
As of October 2005 Spark Marketing Entertainment pro-actively seeks distribution opportunities for Digiview Productions’ value priced DVD catalogue for the World outside North America.
Digiview’s catalogue includes early cartoon favourites such as Popeye, Superman, Bugs Bunny, Betty Boop and Porky Pig but also TV classics such as Bonanza, Flash Gordon and well-known feature films.
Digiview Productions was established in January of 2004, launching itself into the value priced DVD sales world. The company’s main area of business is the distribution of DVDs to the retail market with favourite screen writes and animations from assorted genres. Digiview’s customer list includes Walmart, Tesco, Auchan and many others.
Matthias Bauss, Head of Spark Marketing Entertainment UK, says: “Digiview is an outstanding addition to Spark’s Entertainment catalogue. The net pricing programme combined with the broad list of classic titles allows Spark to sell the catalogue cost-effectively across our vast range of non-traditional distribution channels, such as supermarkets, drugstores and kiosks throughout Europe.” He adds: “Personally I am also pleased to have the opportunity to bring well-known TV Series to a whole new generation of children and teenagers in a remastered format. I am sure they will enjoy them hugely as we did at the time.”
